The Luna Clinic is a strictly full-fee paying private clinic offering Clinical Psychology assessment (for ages 6+) and brief psychotherapy intervention (ages 18+) for the presentations and concerns listed here.
At the Luna Clinic, we have endeavoured to maintain a fee schedule that is well below the rate recommended by the Australian Psychological Society (currently $300 per 50 minutes). The full APS fee schedule can be found at the link below.
At the Luna Clinic ®, we believe in transparency and the importance of investing in self-care. We are a private full fee paying practice with payment for assessments required prior to provision of services, or for psychological intervention treatment, payment is required on the day of service.

IMPORTANT UPDATE: UNFORTUNATELY, ALL COGNITIVE & NEURODEVELOPMENTAL ASSESSMENTS HAVE BEEN 'PAUSED' UNTIL CLARIFICATION REGARDING CURRENT NDIS CHANGES. UPDATES WILL BE PROVIDED HERE.
We appreciate that the time and expense required in seeking an assessment and diagnosis can be significant. The time and cost required by a Clinical Psychologist to administer the appropriate evidence-based assessment measures, collect and collate all relevant clinical history, to interpret and report on the results of the assessment is also significant and extremely important in ensuring that you are provided with a professional and accurate assessment outcome that meets your needs.
At the Luna Clinic we aim to provide a transparent estimate of the minimum cost associated with an assessment by our Clinical Psychologist, however as each individual's assessment needs are unique, should there be a requirement for further assessment or time, our Clinical Psychologist will advise prior to further costs being accrued and you will be offered the opportunity to decide.
Below is an estimate of the minimum cost associated with most commonly requested assessments:

If you are certain that you do not wish to trial medication, our Clinical Psychologist may consider offering a comprehensive assessment for ADHD, however only following an initial history/screening session to discuss your concerns and to provide recommendations in regard assessment.
Note: current evidence-based guidelines recommend that the 'gold standard' treatment for ADHD is a combination of psychotropic medication and psychological therapy.
Initial history/screening session required prior to assessment – charged at usual hourly rates (i.e., $375.00 for 90 min session required).
Psychological Diagnostic Assessment (adult only) . . . $1,200

The Luna Clinic will provide you with a receipt for you to provide to your funder if required and requested.
Medicare rebates: If you are eligible for Medicare rebates, we are happy to assist in processing Medicare claims where possible as a complementary service, however please note that we do not hold responsibility for receival of, for eligibility or for processing of Medicare rebates. Medicare does not currently provide rebates for family therapy, cognitive or neurodevelopmental assessments, and some other specific situations.

We require at least the following notice to avoid cancellation charges:
1. For psychological treatment/intervention appointments: at least 48 hours notice prior to your scheduled appointment for cancellations and/or rescheduling. If less than the 48 hours notice is provided (or you do not attend the appointment), the FULL FEE will be charged to the payment details that you have provided to the Luna Clinic unless the appointment is able to be filled.
2. For CANCELLATION of booked psychological assessments: notice of at least 7 days for a cancellation is required. Less than 7 days will result in forfeiting of the full deposit paid.
3. For RESCHEDULING of booked assessments to another date/time, at least 48 hours notice is required. Less than 48 hours notice will incur a charge of 50% of your paid deposit unless the appointment time is able to be filled.
Note: Failure to pay for an outstanding cancellation fee will result in no further appointments or future bookings being made, and any other bookings cancelled, until the outstanding fee is finalised.
The Luna Clinic cancellation policy is in place to allow us to offer the allocated time to another person who may be on our waiting list for an appointment. However often last minute cancellations do not allow enough time to arrange for the cancelled appointment to be filled, is time consuming for clinicians, or is not at a time that suits waiting list clients.
We understand that sometimes you may be unable to keep an appointment because of sudden illness or an unexpected personal emergency. If this happens to you, please contact us as soon as possible to explain the situation and, wherever possible, forward a copy of a medical certificate or evidence of your illness/emergency.
In some cases we may be able to offer a teletherapy appointment via a secure video platform.
You may send an sms message to 0485 865 974 or email admin@lunaclinic.com.au to leave a message re a cancellation or a reschedule request and we will contact you regarding future availability and cancellation fees applicable.
A late cancelled appointment is a loss to three people:
* The client who is delaying their therapy or assessment progress;
* Another client who has been sitting on the waiting list to see the clinical psychologist urgently; and
* The clinical psychologist or counsellor who has spent time in preparing for your session or assessment.
